Performance Profiles Ten Year Trend Report--2006
MFSA has compiled a special report to provide members with trends on how industry companies allocate their income to the various elements of running their businesses.  This cost ratio report shows typical allocations for each of the last ten years – and trends are evident.  In these financial dynamics, of course, lie the basis of business success or failure.  Successful businesses know precisely what percentages of their revenue are being allocated to payroll and other labor expense, equipment, occupancy costs, and a host of other critical expenses – and how these costs are trending.

As business owners and senior managers focus attention on their own business’s expense profile, many find it helpful to know what the trend or direction is in the industry for the individual expense categories found on the typical income and expense statement.

The Performance Profiles Ten Year Trend Report, recently compiled and prepared for MFSA by Industry Insights, a respected independent research firm, provides the results in easy-to-read detailed data tables, with report highlights bar chart-illustrated.   The data are provided in three overall financial groupings; All MFSA Firms, High-Profit Firms, and Low-Profit Firms.
